Announcing their slate of candidates, Maggie's List Chairwoman Sandra B. Mortham said the following:
"The Maggie’s List board is incredibly proud of our candidates that we have chosen to endorse for the 2018 mid-term election cycle. Their experience, commitment to service, conservative values and ability to inspire other women leaders make them very compelling candidates in this crucial election cycle. Supporting and electing these outstanding women to Congress will not only expand the conservative majority but they will also safeguard and continue to promote our values of fiscal conservatism, less government, more personal responsibility and a strong national security"
Accepting the endorsement, Carla Nelson added the following:
"It's an honor to be able to add Maggie's List to the group of incredible conservative organizations and individuals that have stood up to endorse my campaign. We need a proven conservative leader and a proven winner to take back Minnesota's 1st District, and with Maggie's List's 82% win rate, it's clear that they see our path to victory in the primary as well as in the general. With the support of tremendous conservative groups like Maggie's List, our campaign's momentum continues to grow as we head towards the August Republican primary."
