Family Child Care, Inc. Board Meeting

Uncategorized

Last week Senator Nelson was invited to attend a board meeting for Family Child Care, Inc. She met with the board members and discussed the state’s new Parent Aware Rating Program. This program is used as a metric for determining quality among childcare providers. The group discussed the pros and cons of this program as well as the current state of childcare quality measures in Olmsted County. The program involves curriculum, training, and class observation. Olmsted County has had one cohort go through the program thus far; 12 providers and 4 centers have been rated.
