Letter: Sen. Carla Nelson has reputation as bipartisan solution seeker

If you’re like me, you’re tired of the bickering at the state capitol.
That’s why I’m glad that Carla Nelson is our state senator. Carla has a well-deserved reputation as a bipartisan solution seeker. Carla has sponsored initiatives that would end the last-minute lawmaking we see all too frequently in St. Paul. Her proposal would require legislators to agree to compromise bills one week prior to adjournment — not in the final minutes of the legislative session.
She is also a founding member of the Purple Caucus, which brings together DFLers and Republicans to find good policies for Minnesota, regardless of party.
We need more bipartisanship in St. Paul. That’s one of the reasons I’m voting to re-elect State Sen. Carla Nelson.
