Operating Engineers Endorsement

Legislative candidate:

Congratulations on earning the endorsement of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 in your campaign for the state legislature.

As you know, IUOE Local 49 is Minnesota’s largest construction union and has the honor to represent over 14,000 members in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.  Our members take great pride in building the region’s infrastructure including transportation, commercial and residential housing, energy, mining, and other construction projects.  We will continue to advocate for investments in infrastructure projects, prevailing wages, and our member’s right to work in safe conditions.

Our union has a long history of supporting candidates who support our member’s jobs, livable wages, effective permitting and regulatory issues, and all aspects of their work. It is imperative that our members have strong representation at the local, state, and federal levels of our government. Our members appreciate your support for the issues important to us and consequently endorse your campaign for the legislature.
