Letter: Sen. Nelson helps support local small businesses

As someone who owns a small business, I’ve had firsthand experience with government overreach. Fortunately my small-business story had a positive end, because of the good work of State Sen. Carla Nelson.

I had applied for my business license renewal and wasn’t hearing anything back. With Sen. Nelson’s help, we were able to get my business renewal processed before it expired. I frequently tell my customers who like getting your hair cut here that Sen. Nelson helped keep us open.

Government should work for us, not the other way around. Carla Nelson gets that and provides great service for her constituents. I’m proud to be voting for her.
