Letter: Sen. Carla Nelson is a resource for first reponders

The voters of Senate District 26 have been greatly served by Sen. Carla Nelson. I first met Sen. Nelson two years ago when she volunteered to be a “firefighter for a day” and found her to be very understanding and knowledgable about the kind of resources first responders need to adequately respond to citizen’s needs in times of emergency.
I’ve been impressed by her work at the Capitol where she has risen above the partisanship and stood with Minnesota’s Fire Service on many issues, including our successful effort to phase-out the use of toxic flame retardants in our state. Carla has an open-door and a friendly ear for first responders and it is our hope that the voters send her back to the Capitol to continue being that strong, commonsense voice for her constituents.
