Letter: There are many reasons to re-elect Carla Nelson to Senate

I am supporting Carla Nelson for many reasons. I’ll just list a few.

Sen. Nelson helped pass grants to fill high-demand teaching fields and loan forgiveness program for teachers. Carla advocated for and passed legislation to freeze college tuition at our public colleges and universities. Carla Nelson’s bill removed taxation on school athletic events, allowing more money to stay in our school programs. It’s too bad that tax exemption recently expired.

Most importantly, Carla Nelson, is a senator of integrity that we can all be proud of. She is a workhorse who gets things done by reaching across the aisle rather than playing partisan politics and she is committed to making government accountable.

Whenever I have contacted Carla, she has always responded quickly and personally. I am impressed with her compassion and willingness to help all her constituents.

It’s time to re-up Carla Nelson and that tax exemption on athletic ticket sales. Carla is just the ticket we need in St. Paul to work for us.
