Letter: Sen. Nelson is advocate for Olmsted County schools in state Senate
Originally published in the Post Bulletin
When it comes to education, there’s a clear champion for our region — State Sen. Carla Nelson.
Carla is a former teacher who has voted to provide record levels of funding for our K-12 schools, along with reforms to ensure that our students receive the best education possible.
She has been a sponsor of Reading Corp funding and worked on legislation to help create a pipeline to enhance teacher diversity.
Having Carla’s experience working for us at the State Capitol means we know Olmsted County’s schools and students are well represented. Let’s keep her firsthand knowledge of what works for schools, students and parents working on our behalf in St. Paul.
A vote for Nelson is a vote for our future.
