Letter: Carla Nelson has proven she supports our veterans

I think you can tell a lot about a person by their priorities.

As our state senator, Carla Nelson has made supporting veterans and members of the military a top priority, and I appreciate that.

Carla helped pass legislation to eliminate taxes on military pensions, which will help keep our veterans here in Minnesota, even if it is a little colder here than some of the places people move to. Ensuring that our veterans have another reason to stay in our state means we keep some great neighbors who are involved in our community and are always willing to lend a helping hand.

After all they’ve done for us, our country and our freedoms, ending taxes on military pensions is clearly the right thing to do, and Carla Nelson helped get it done.

Sen. Carla Nelson has been a friend and supporter of veterans and military families, and I’m proud to support her in the election on Nov. 8.
